The design of this pen is a rounded-top black carbon fiber and the gold and gunmetal pen kit is a picture-perfect complement to the carbon fiber on the pen's body. On its own, carbon fiber is quite brittle and prone to splitting and cracking. To preserve its abilities, it's suspended in a glue-like material called epoxy resin before it's molded, forming a composite material that is exceptionally strong and durable and will last a very long time.

Turn the bottom counterclockwise when replacing the Parker-Style refill (see photo for details). There is a spring inside the pen that you do not want to lose.
